Garlic
We have lots of garlic hanging in the shed which we harvested in July, but Rod went to Viroqua this morning to get another three pounds of seed garlic. Kristen told him not to plant it yet, it is way too warm. The seed garlic should only put down roots this time of year, not grow up, which it might if this warm weather keeps up. The butterfly weed that I carefully raised in little peat pots all summer don't look good now that they are out in the garden, but hope I will be surprised when they start growing in the spring. Made salsa verde this week from all the tomatillos in the garden. Now are down to green tomatoes, broccoli, brussel sprouts, peppers and winter squash. Seven pumpkins out there waiting for the grandkids to come tomorrow.
